February is "American Heart Month"

Heart disease remains the leading cause of death in the United States with over half a million American lives taken annually. While some contributors to heart disease, such as genetics, cannot be avoided, a variety of risk factors can be combated with proper nutrition and fitness choices. CCEI has maintained a focus on child care training that instills healthy habits in early childhood settings in order to contribute to children's long-term personal success and overall wellness. These courses include Fit for Life; Healthy Habits: Nutrition and Fitness Practices; Motor Development and Fitness in Early Childhood; Early Childhood Obesity; and many more. Online courses and their descriptions are view-able in the child care training course catalog.
