The Benefits of Family Education

Child caregivers are encouraged to work with parents, guardians, foster parents, and family members to reinforce learning in the home environment. CCEI's August Newsletter Supporting Education at Home offers resources to promote lifelong learning among children, which contributes to family literacy, improved communication skills, attitudes toward education and self-improvement, and so many other benefits. While this information is written with providers in mind who currently work in a child care center that is not home-based, these resources can also be applied to family care settings, after school care, and home school programs, to name a few.
