National Radon Action Month & Environmental Health Training
National Radon Action Month, as designated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), is to raise awareness on the vaporous toxin and help us all create healthier indoor breathing environments. Radon is the leading cause of lung cancer deaths among nonsmokers in the U.S., and is extremely preventable. CCEI recommends practitioners take online child care training course ADM100: The Eco-Friendly Child Care Center: Green Lifestyle and Environmental Health. Students of the course will receive an overview of what constitutes an eco-friendly child care environment, with a major focus on the hazards of environmental exposure, and recommended practices for maintaining a safe, healthy environment for young children. This course is also offered at no-cost to trial users in January. View the link for more information.
