Preventing the Spread of Bloodborne Pathogens in Child Care

Happy National Immunization Awareness Month! Vaccinations are vital to prevent serious diseases such as measles, diphtheria, and rubella, so it's important for childhood professionals to know which shots are necessary and proper immunization schedules for themselves along with the ages of the children under their care or instruction. In recognition of NIAM, new users to CCEI can take online child care training course Preventing the Spread of Bloodborne Pathogens at no cost during the month of August. Returning users can enroll in this course at any time when logged in to their FAME account. This course is based on Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and topics covered include common bloodborne diseases, universal precautions, and other safety practices.
